  Temperature Equilibrium Hypothesis

The body always compensate to achieved and maintained equilibrium (98.6 degree).

If you are not lowering then you are raising the body's temperature.

It is a matter of degree.

Temperature Chaos Hypothesis

When the body's temperature fluctuated out of optimal range 98.6 (+/- .5) degree.

The body is in temperature chaos state.

The body is either in hypo-chaos (below 98.1 degree) or hyper-chaos (above 99.1 degree).

Temperature Differential Hypothesis

Increase in skin's temperature differential from body's equilibrium mean increase in sensitivity to opposite temperature.

                       Triplet's individuality

Once upon a time, Tom and Mary are expecting triplets. There was a complication with the pregnancy.  Doctor say to Tom either abort at least one baby or Mary will most likely die. Tom and Mary thought long and hard, finally, they agree to have all three babies hoping Mary's health can endure the ordeal. When all three babies were born, Mary dies in the process. Tom is happy about his babies which he names Jim, Tim, and Sim but sad about his wife's death.

Tom is a very successful surgeon. Since his kids are without a mother figure, he hires a nanny. He instructs the nanny to treat Jim, Tim, and Sim equally.  Anythings the nanny buy need to be identical. Tom don't want to have any of his boys feel he is playing favoritism. Although Tom don't have a lot of time for his boys, he makes sure all their needs are being met.

On their 18th birthdays, Tom past away due to an unexpected stroke. Jim, Tim, and Sim attended the reading of the wills. In the will Tom left each of his boys one million dollars and three identical house. Tom want to leave a saying to his kids. "Jim, Tim, and Sim I love you all equally, up till now I have been stifling your individuality. With the money and a house go find your own individuality. Good luck." Jim remark was if the house is identical how can they have individuality.

Jim, Tim, and Sim went to check out their house on the outside they are identical at a glance but when they look inside everything are also identical except the inside wall are not being install. They also realized that in the middle of the living room lies three piles of inner wall panel. First pile of panels are made of cardboard, second pile of panels are made of plywood, third pile of panels are made of two plywood with insulation sandwich in between. The inner wall are interchangeable.

Winter is here and Jim, Tim, and Sim all chose to install the third pile of panel (2 plywood with insulation sandwich in between). Jim commented, this is the best way to keep the house warm and keep the cold out. Tim and Sim agree with Jim.

Spring arrive, Jim convince Tim to change to the second pile of panel (single plywood). Jim and Tim try several time to convince Sim that the weather are changing and warming up.  They do not need that much insulation. It make the house too warm but Sim is stubborn he replies insulation not only keep cold out but it also keep heat out. Jim and Tim disagree with Sim so that is where their individuality start.

Summer arrive, Jim tries to convince Tim and Sim to change to first pile of panel (cardboard) Jim's reasoning is with the first pile of panels heat can dissipate easier. Sim refuse to change he is sticking to the third pile and his reason was the more heat he keeps out with the heavy duty insulation the cooler the inside. This time Tim is not taking side. Tim is sticking to second pile and his reason is single plywood keep some heat out and allow the hot air to dissipate.

Recap:

Jim way of thinking is less insulation make the house cooler because it is easier for the  house to dissipate the heat.

Tim is in the middle, his way of thinking is that minimal insulation allow the house to dissipate excess heat and keep some heat out.

Sim way of thinking is maximum insulation mean inside stay cool while outside heat stay out.

Who do you agree with? Who is right and who is wrong and why?
